Conditions Treated with Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic Medicine can be used to treat a wide variety of both chronic (long-standing) and acute (more sudden/short-term) conditions. In some cases, natural treatments alone may effectively manage a health concern, while in other instances, they are used in conjunction with conventional medical treatments, to minimize treatment side-effects, potentially reduce pharmaceutical need, and support the body’s own natural healing processes (see Principles of Naturopathic Medicine for more information). Thus, naturopathic medicine may be more accurately viewed as integrative, vs. alternative medicine.
